KEY Laser 3+

The new KEY Pulse technology

The new KEY Pulse technology was developed especially for perfect removal in all indications.

Through the short pulses (S-pulses, SP), you achieve double the performance with the same pulse energy. As a result, you can remove hard tissue at very high speeds.

When optimising the system, great efforts were made to find the ideal balance of peak pulse performance and therapeutic success.

An additional advantage: The lifespan of optical components is significantly increased through KEY Pulse technology.

Optimised high performance for all indications.

The high-speed effect

With shortened pulses (S-pulses, SP), you can remove hard tissue very quickly at the same pulse energy.

The effect

For delicate procedures, longer pulses (LP) are available to optimally protect the remaining or native tissue in conjunction with the feedback system.

You can activate short pulses (S-pulses) by simply depressing a button.

Complete scaling - with no damage to root cement Laser coupling for mounting the laser handpieces. The coupling and all handpieces are sterilisable at 135°. The KaVo laser With an adjustable frequency range between 1 Hz and 25 Hz, plus an adjustable energy range between 10 mJ and 600 mJ, the light 70 kg high-tech product sparkles in a modern, well rounded design and provides user-friendly menu control through a touch screen. The multifunction foot control ensures absolute freedom for treatment: no replacement of instruments during the preparation. General operation In KEY Laser, the laser beam is not directed by a rigid articulated mirror arm system, but is passed via a flexible instrument tube with internal fibre to the treatment site. The fibre instrument tube, slim handpiece dimensions, variable laser parameters and the integrated spray supply, enable the user to handle the KaVo KEY Laser in an ergonomic way. The built-in autopilot provides continuous feedback about the concrement still present, indicated both visually in the display and by an acoustic signal. The LASER is used only as much as necessary and as little as possible. Features Low-pain treatment The pulse duration of the KaVo KEY Laser 3 + is so short that the reaction threshold of the nerves is not reached. There is generally no need for anaesthetics. No vibrations. No shrill drilling noise. Germ-destroying effect KaVo KEY Laser 3 + kills all germs. Owing to the high energy absorption in water of this laser wavelength, the moisture content of the germ cells is evaporated. The cell membrane bursts and the cells thus die. Faster wound healing Operations with KaVo KEY Laser 3 + are automatic, contactless and necrosis-free. So the result is faster wound healing without postoperative symptoms. The intelligent approach of KEY Laser 3 + guarantees patient satisfaction. During treatment for periodontitis, even the smallest concretion is detected and removed - reliably and without residue. With selective auto detection, laser activity is focused on affected areas only. Healthy root cement remains untouched by this extremely gentle treatment, which is in the interests of the patient; and also in the interests of maximum efficiency. Concretion detected and removed; patient completely relaxed Laser technology was a quantum leap for dental science. The KaVo KEY Laser 3 + feedback system is a quantum leap for dental laser technology. It means that dental science now, for the first time, has an instrument with which critical procedures can be completed more quickly, more reliably and more thoroughly, with the maximum of comfort and no impact on healthy substance. Thanks to the feedback system, concretion can be detected and de-scaled - completely and selectively, even in hard-to-reach areas. No need for scalers, Tomkins file and special instruments in periodontal treatment. Working "blind" in gingival pockets may now be confidently accomplished. The built-in autopilot provides continuous feedback about the concrement still present, indicated in the display and by an acoustic signal. The LASER is used only as much as necessary and as little as possible. So " flying blind " in the treatment of dental pockets becomes a precisely controlled process: safe, convenient and effective. Root and Scaling or Laser YAG ER: with Periodontal Treatment (only in English, pdf, 151 KB) And here's how the feedback system functions The 655 nm excitation light is passed into the inflamed pocket by the periodontics handpiece. The pathological substances there send a fluorescent signal to a receiver. This then sends a control signal to the therapy laser and triggers the removal mechanism. When the receiver no longer receives any fluorescence signals, the laser beam is switched off. With a profile adapted to the shape of the face, they securely protect the eye region from scattered Laser radiation. The light plastic temples render the low weight of the glasses (approx. 24 g) hardly noticeable, relieving your temple and neck regions all day long. "Dyna Guard" model The "Dyna Guard" model was developed especially for those who wear prescription glasses. With their innovative design, these glasses fit over all customary shapes and sizes of corrective glasses. Again, very low weight (approx. 39 g) was a design requirement for these glasses. The novel temple shape ensures that the protective glasses do not push on the arms of the corrective glasses, thereby preventing tensions and headaches, even when used for a long periods. KEY Laser 3 with feedback system - the state-of-the-art answer to successful treatment A large number of clinical trials have proved that KaVo KEY Laser 3 is a highly effective periodontological treatment, serving to compound the fact that this KaVo technology is unique.
