With the QUATTROcare PLUS, KaVo offers a system that enables optimal and high-quality care of turbines, straight and contra angle handpieces and thus positively contributes to an increased service life and therefore conserves the value of the handpieces.
Simple, fast and efficient
Thanks to the QUATTROcare PLUS, handpiece care is very easy and fast: put handpieces onto the MULTIflex couplings or the INTRAmatic couplings - close QUATTROcare PLUS door - press the start button – ready. The fully automated care of up to four handpieces only takes approximately. 1 minute and ensuring problem-free practice workflow when reprocessing. Thanks to the very easy and safe handling, the risk of operator errors is almost non-existent.
Optimal care
QUATTROcare PLUS extends the service life of high-quality handpieces thanks to reliable, top quality care. When combining with previous automatic internal cleaning (in cleaning and disinfection devices – RDG), the QUATTROcare PLUS can be used in accordance with RKI for care of handpieces with the risk assessment "critical - B". For handpieces with the risk assessment "semi-critical – B", RKI conformance is also granted with previous intensive cleaning with KaVo CLEANspray and DRYspray.
The automatic single-place dosing of QUATTROcare PLUS grants optimal lubrication of the handpieces. The new additional programme "Collet/Chuck" furthermore allows for easy and efficient care of collets/chucks and thus ensures their endurance and longevity. Besides care of high-quality KaVo handpieces, the device can also be used for handpieces from other established brands.

KaVo DIAGNOcam: the next generation of caries detectionBiberach/Riss, 13/04/2011 -
The KaVo DIAGNOcam - which will be presented as a Future Concept at the IDS 2011 - is the first camera system that uses the tooths structure to verify caries diagnosis. To do this, the tooth is transilluminated utilising light from a specific wavelength and used as a light conductor. A digital video camera records the image and visualises it live on a computer screen. Structures such as carious lesions are visualised as dark spots. The images recorded by the KaVo DIAGNOcam can be stored, thus significantly simplifying monitoring and patient communication.
The DIAGNOcam offers higher diagnostic safety, significantly increased sensitivity and detail as compared to X-ray diagnosis, in particular in cases of approximal and occlusal caries. The X-ray radiation-free DIFOTI technology (Digital Fibre-optic Transillumination) allows for early very gentle caries detection and will be of particular importance when treating children and pregnant women. The KaVo DIAGNOcam is simple, fast and easy-to-integrate and offers maximum comfort whilst working.

Perfect cleaning and care - low costs
The new QUATTROcare CLEAN - which will be presented as a Future Concept at the IDS 2011 - will soon offer to the practice team, an efficient and practical solution, for RKI-compliant, internal cleaning and care of handpieces. Consistent use of QUATTROcare CLEAN, eliminates contaminated debris during disinfection, maintains performance of turbines, straight and contra angles and correspondingly contributes to longevity and conservation of handpiece value.
Thanks to the low acquisition and consumables costs, QUATTROcare CLEAN represents a very economical solution for validated, RKI-compliant, internal cleaning (semi-critical B and critical B) and care of handpieces. The innovative and environmentally-friendly operating principle, which only needs small amounts of cleaning additives, achieves RKI-compliant and validated internal cleaning effects, thanks to the reliable removal of proteins. Thanks to the low consumption of chemical additives and cleaning agents, QUATTROcare CLEAN also reduces the current costs to the dental practice. The device also represents a cost-efficient investment, as it focuses on validated, internal cleaning and care of handpieces and can be perfectly integrated into existing practice regimes. Example: manual external cleaning – validated internal cleaning and care in the QUATTROcare CLEAN – sterilisation in autoclave (semi-critical B: unpacked / critical B: packed ).
Optimum workflow, easy operation
Handling of the QUATTROcare CLEAN, cleaning and care device, is very easy: open front panel, insert handpieces, close front panel, start by pressing one button. The automated programme sequence, offers a maximum of speed and user-friendliness. Thus the device can be efficiently integrated, into daily practice routine. Internal cleaning and care of up to 4 handpieces is performed easily, fully automatically and in compliance with RKI recommendations and only requires 12 minutes. The whole reprocessing procedure - manual external cleaning, internal cleaning and care with QUATTROcare CLEAN, sterilisation (KaVo STERIclave B - fast cycle) - only requires approx. 33 minutes. Handpieces will experience reliable cleaning and optimum care and will be rapidly available again for clinical use on patients.
Using corresponding adapters, cleaning and care of existing turbines, straight and contra angles from other manufacturers, can also be performed.
KaVo QUATTROcare CLEAN meets RKI recommendations of practice hygiene, for automatic, internal cleaning of all handpieces. Reliable cleaning. KaVo means cost-efficiency. Instruments are maintained.
