Patient / Jaw simulators

So lifelike and so versatile

KaVo patient simulators are robust and as realistic as a real patient. All reference points, levels and movements relevant to dentistry are integrated. In addition, the anatomical shape, colour and materials give students the feeling of treating real patients.

The patient is always centre stage in dental treatment. An artificial patient is required in accepted dental training and postgraduate education settings and for demonstrations and courses in dental procedures. This model must closely match the external configuration of the human head, such as one sees in a phantom head.

The KaVo model G20
, G40, and G50 jaw simulators meet all the requirements set for an artificial patient suitable for training. All key anatomical dimensions and reference planes are taken into account. Because of robust construction with durable materials, they prove ideal for use in universities and training centres.

The KaVo jaw simulators G20, G40 and G50 reproduce the movements of the lower jaw very realistically and are identical in design with the KaVo PROTARevo articulators. This system enables students to prepare a tooth in the patient simulator and easily transfer the tooth model into the articulator without losing any reference.

  • KaVo jaw simulators reproduce all key anatomical dimensions and reference points of the human head
  • Thanks to their robust construction, they prove ideal for use in dental education schools
  • Different types of face masks with various mouth openings and outflows complete the patient simulator

Realistic treatment options for the dentist and assistant with anatomical reference points and articulator movements

Use of KaVo jaw simulators allows the clinician and assistants to practice a range of treatment options on the patient simulator very realistically. The condylar box guide paths, closely approximate to the natural condition. The effects of the condylar guide path on the articulation movements can be precisely analysed.

Condylar axis and movement

Rotational movement of the condylar axis

With a mouth opening of up to 15 mm incisal edge distance the condyles complete a full rotational movement.

Mandible closes

The mandible closes when the lateral touch buttons are pressed. This is also possible with face mask applied.

Anterior condylar movement

With a greater mouth opening, the condyles also move in an anterior direction.
