NOMAD Humanitarian Program

NOMAD Humanitarian Program

Because of its light weight and cordless portability, the NOMAD Handheld X-ray System can go where conventional x-ray systems cannot. KaVo is proud that the NOMAD has helped doctors diagnose patients in humanitarian efforts around the world.

The NOMAD Humanitarian Program allows qualified medical professionals to rent a NOMAD Handheld X-ray device at no charge. Ground shipping anywhere in the U.S. is free.

What is required to participate?

Your event must be not-for-profit and humanitarian in nature and must be supervised by a certified medical professional. Two forms must be completed and returned at least 30-days prior to event.

Please note: all rentals are subject to available inventory of the NOMAD and do not include a sensor/dental film or software
Within 14 days of the completion of the event, we ask that you email us at least two high resolution photographs and a brief testimonial, including approximately how many patients were served.

Testimonials

The NOMAD made it possible for the first time to do root canal therapy on several patients’ front teeth that in the past would have been extracted. It is companies like KaVo Kerr that help make this mission possible for the Guatemalan people.
Bruce G. Newman, DDS
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the Aribex NOMAD. It allowed me to fulfill my dream of giving thorough dental treatment to 76 orphans and the staff taking care of them.

My family and I recently had the privilege of traveling to Mozambique with two other dentists, two physicians, twelve nurses, a construction crew and a food crew. The NOMAD worked flawlessly in conjunction with our laptop computer, digital sensor and software.
Ronald L. Rasmussen, DDS
In short, the NOMAD allowed us to diagnose and treat patients more accurately, more efficiently, and safely. A giant “thank you” from every patient and volunteer.
Brian S. Duchan, DMD
Temple University School of Dentistry has been traveling to the country of Haiti for the last 15 years, providing emergency dental work to individuals in need. Our trip this year was the first ever to have diagnostic x-rays at our treatment sites of the rural Haitian villages, thanks to the NOMAD portable handheld x-ray unit by KaVo Kerr.
