KaVo has recently been officially added to the publicly available list of signatories to The Climate Pledge. KaVo is now among the companies worldwide that have made a clear and binding commitment to ambitious climate action and are pursuing the goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
The Climate Pledge is a coalition of companies that are investing in sustainable business practices to drive forward, amongst other things, the reduction of CO₂ emissions.
What does signing the agreement actually mean?
By joining, KaVo commits to three key principles:
- Regular CO₂ reporting — Transparent calculation and disclosure of relevant emissions data.
- Consistent emissions reduction — Implementing real, measurable actions to reduce emissions across operations and throughout the value chain.
- Net-zero carbon by 2040 — Ten years earlier than envisaged by the Paris Agreement.
These commitments are in line with KaVo’s strategic focus on developing sustainable solutions for the dental industry and taking responsibility for the environment and society.
