Launched in 2023, the KaVo ProXam series comprises premium products for intraoral and extraoral X-rays and scanning, along with all-in-one software.
As a pioneering provider of dental technology, KaVo has been setting standards in dentistry for over 110 years. The renowned company chalked up another success in 2023 with the newly launched KaVo ProXam range – a premium-class imaging portfolio for high-quality contemporary imaging.
Under the Stronger Together slogan, KaVo and Planmeca announced their cooperation in the field of imaging, with around 4,500 employees joining the KaVo family. With the aim of taking imaging for dentists to the next level, the companies jointly developed products and launched the KaVo ProXam range, comprising premium products for extraoral and intraoral imaging, and intraoral scanning.
The KaVo ProXam 3D product series offers a comprehensive range of 2D and 3D imaging programs. In addition to the standard 2D panoramic programs, it includes an extraoral bitewing program, a mode for horizontal and vertical segmentation, a ceph X-ray program and a special children’s mode.
The ProXam iX intraoral X-ray unit boasts simple, precise positioning, uncomplicated imaging and excellent, high resolution 2D image results. With their wide dynamic range, the sensors deliver consistently high-quality images, regardless of whether the radiation dose is high or low.
The images are taken in HD quality and, thanks to the small 15 µm pixel size and the high resolution of over 20 lp/mm, offer the optimum combination of noise level and contrast for detailed diagnosis.
Straightforward installation: Every KaVo ProXam iX X-ray device is designed ex works for easy integration and use with KaVo ProXam iS X-ray sensors.
The ProXam iP is the smart scanner solution for fast and reliable intraoral X-rays. The compact dimensions of the imaging plate scanner make it ideal for use in the treatment room or in a separate X-ray room (including mounted on the wall). The ProXam iS sensors are especially robust, plus they boast high design values and are coated with a protective layer of glass fibre. The sensor cable is reinforced and suitable for continuous daily use.
The KaVo ProXam iOS intraoral scanner can be used at the dental unit itself or as a stand-alone solution. The practical plug-and-play functionality via the USB cable ensures maximum flexibility and allows it to be used in different rooms. Special feature: Users can choose between a standard tip and a SlimLine tip. The latter is thinner and smaller than the standard version – the perfect choice for scans on patients with small mouths.
The ProXam 2D is the modern 2D X-ray solution in the field of digital imaging. Handling everything from panoramic imaging, extraoral bitewing imaging and temporomandibular joint diagnostics to sinus imaging, this is the ideal all-rounder for everyday tasks.
And if this isn’t enough, the two 3D X-ray units ProXam 3D and ProXam 3DQ offer further options, with top-quality modern, three-dimensional maxillofacial imaging, including an array of supplementary 2D programs.
The 3D and 3DQ products differ in terms of their diagnostic capabilities. The radiation dose is individually adjustable on all large X-ray units.
When combined with the Romexis software, ProXam products present an impressive solution for dental practices and clinics that want to be optimally prepared for a digitised future.
Romexis supports dentists with image creation, diagnostic evaluation, processing and storing 2D and 3D X-ray images and intraoral scans and processing generated CAD/CAM data.
