KaVo Lumina Receives the German Innovation Award 2026
Our treatment light, KaVo Lumina, has been honored as a Winner of the German Innovation Award 2026. The award ceremony took place on May 12, 2026. With this recognition, the independent jury honors an innovation that stands out through its strong user focus, outstanding technical quality, and tangible added value in everyday dental practice.
The German Innovation Award recognizes products and solutions that break new ground and actively drive progress within their industries. The evaluation criteria include degree of innovation, user benefits, economic efficiency, and sustainability aspects.
With KaVo Lumina, we have successfully combined state-of-the-art lighting technology, sophisticated design, and practice-oriented functionality. This award underlines our commitment to developing innovations that are consistently aligned with the needs of dentists and practice teams — delivering optimal visibility and greater comfort in daily treatment workflows.
The German Innovation Award is presented by the German Design Council and judged by an interdisciplinary panel of experts from technology, science, and business. In 2026, a total of 462 submissions from 23 countries were evaluated.
