Ultra low dose: top image quality, low radiation

They say that less is more, and digital X-rays are no exception. With their Ultra Low Dose imaging protocol, KaVo ProXam 3D units offer high-quality CBCT images at a lower radiation dose than conventional 2D panoramic imaging.

The effective radiation dose per patient can be reduced by an average of 77% in Ultra Low Dose mode without any loss of image quality (Study of Orthodontic Diagnostic FOVs Using Low Dose CBCT protocol – Ludlow, John Barrett and Koivisto, Juha).

Based on special 3D algorithms, the Ultra Low Dose mode can generally be used for all voxel sizes and programs – right the way up to endo mode.

Light-touch digital X-rays like never before

In Ultra Low Dose mode, every X-ray image is created with the minimum radiation dose. Ideal diagnostics, especially for paedodontic dentistry and sinus applications

Other indications particularly suitable for Ultra Low Dose include:

  • Implant planning
  • Postoperative follow-up after maxillofacial surgery
  • Examining airways and sinuses
  • Determining the apical bone material in orthodontics, pinpointing unerupted or impacted teeth and defining reference points for cephalometric analysis
