KaVo warranty information

Type A

This KaVo medical device is subject to the following warranty conditions: KaVo provides the end customer with a warranty of proper function and guarantees zero defects in respect of material and workmanship for the duration of the standard warranty from the date of the invoice, subject to the following conditions: With regard to justified complaints KaVo will fulfil the terms and conditions of the warranty either through a free-of-charge repair or delivery of a replacement product. Other claims of any nature whatsoever, in particular with respect to compensation, are excluded. In the event of default, gross negligence or intent, this shall only apply in the absence of mandatory legal regulations to the contrary. 

KaVo shall not be liable for defects and their consequences that have arisen or may arise from natural wear, improper handling, cleaning, maintenance or servicing, non-compliance with operating, maintenance or connection instructions, calcination or corrosion, contaminated air or water supplies or chemical or electrical factors deemed abnormal or impermissible in accordance with the KaVo instructions for use or other manufacturer's instructions. 

The warranty granted does not usually extend to lamps, optical fibers made of glass and glass fibers, glassware, rubber parts, and the colorfastness of plastic parts. 

All liability shall be excluded if defects or their consequences are caused by the customer or third parties not authorized by KaVo making manipulations or changes to the product. Warranty claims shall be accepted only if the product is submitted along with proof of purchase in the form of a copy of the invoice or note of delivery. The dealer, purchase date, type, and serial number must be clearly evident from this document.

Type B

KaVo provides the final customer with a warranty that the product will function properly and guarantees zero defects in the material or processing for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions: Upon justified complaints of flaws or a short delivery, KaVo will make good its warranty by replacing the product free of cost or repairing it according to the customer's wishes. Other claims of any nature whatsoever, in particular with respect to compensation, are excluded. In the event of default and gross negligence or intent, this shall only apply in the absence of mandatory legal regulations to the contrary. 

KaVo shall not be held liable for defects and their consequences due to natural wear, improper cleaning or servicing, non-compliance with operating, servicing or connection instructions, calcification or corrosion, contaminated air or water supplies or chemical or electrical factors deemed abnormal or impermissible in accordance with factory specifications. 

The warranty does not usually cover bulbs, glassware, rubber parts and the colorfastness of plastics. 

Defects or their consequences that can be attributed to interventions on or changes made to the product by the customer or a third party are excluded from the warranty.

Type C

KaVo provides the final customer with a warranty that the product cited in the transfer form will function properly and guarantees zero defects in the material or processing for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions:

Upon justified complaints of flaws or a short delivery, KaVo will make good its warranty by replacing the product free of cost or repairing it according to the customer's wishes. Other claims of any nature whatsoever, in particular with respect to compensation, are excluded. Claims from this warranty can only be asserted when the transfer form (copy) belonging to the product has been sent to KaVo, and the original can be presented by the operator or user.

Type D

1.1 Terms and conditions of warranty
This KaVo product is subject to the following warranty conditions:

KaVo grants the end customer a warranty of proper function and guarantees zero defects in respect of material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of the invoice, subject to the following conditions: With regard to justified complaints KaVo grants warranty in the form of a free of charge repair or delivery of a replacement. Other claims of any nature whatsoever, in particular with respect to compensation, are excluded. In the event of default, gross negligence or intent, this shall apply only insofar as this does not conflict with mandatory statutory provisions. 

Any liability shall be excluded if defects or the consequences thereof are due to the customer or third parties not authorized by KaVo interfering with or modifying the product. Warranty claims shall be asserted only if proof of sale in the form of a copy of
the invoice or delivery note is presented with the product. The dealer, purchase date, type, and serial number must be clearly evident from this document.
 

1.2 Limitation of statutory warranty
KaVo shall be liable for the safety, reliability, and performance of the components supplied by KaVo under the following conditions:

• The IT components supplied by the owner conform to the technical requirements for hardware and software listed in the present instructions for use.
• The system was installed and is operated according to the instructions for use and the assembly instructions.
• The software is being integrated into an existing, properly configured environment.
• The user has consistently implemented suitable measures against malware (viruses, Trojans, etc.).
• Complete data backup is being performed regularly.
